Principles: Stand like a Rock

Daily Prompt: Never Surrender

Are you stubborn as a grass stain or as easy going as a light breeze on a warm day? Tell us about the ways in which you’re stubborn – which issues make you dig your heels in and refuse to budge?

I am typically easy going. I like to go with the flow and avoid unnecessary conflicts. During my adolescent years, my father would tell me, “When it comes to fashion sway like the wind, when it comes to principles stand like a rock.” During this time in my life, my identity could easily shift by the day. Always taking in new information and visioning new paths to take. My father being a wise man embedded this mindset into me, reminding me that to become great you must stand by your principles.

You see my father is an honorable man. Well respected in my community and among the families. I feel like the greatest glory I could bring to my family is respect and honor. For I will not budge when it comes to my morals and values. I take control over the things within my inner circle of influence and provide ethical results. I forge my own path. For I would be less of a man if I did not honor my word.

***Steadfast: adj. resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering.

Under Pressure: Fight or Flight

Daily Prompt: The Heat is On

Do you thrive under pressure or crumble at the thought of it? Does your best stuff surface as the deadline approaches or do you need to iterate, day after day to achieve something you’re proud of? Tell us how you work best.

Personally I believe I do better when the deadline approaches. I tend to thrive under pressure. The reason is I am more focused on results and being efficient with my time, when time is of the essence. However I put myself in these undesirable positions due to procrastination which is unhealthy with the burden of knowing I could have done better.

I know I do better and feel prouder of my work when I put more time and effort into it. The concept of time and feeling I have all the time in the world to finish something puts me in a position that lacks the care to get a worthy product produced until it is usually too late.

My desired work place is with other people who help keep one another accountable, especially to their goals and dreams. They like to ask questions and look up answers without being told to. They actively try to improve themselves and are willing to sacrifice who they are today for who they will become tomorrow. I also enjoy an active but peaceful environment. Where people can be constructive yet still criticize one another without taking things personally.

***Pressure: n. 1) the continuous physical force exerted on or against an object by something in contact with it. 2. the use of persuasion, influence, or intimidation to make someone do something. v) attempt to persuade or coerce (someone) into doing something.

Kacey my Baby

I am sitting next to a beautiful girl named Kacey. We are watching the winter olympics. Its interesting seeing the figure skating talent of the world.

I swear this girl Kacey is at my house more than I am. She is good friends with my roommates girlfriend.

I have been meaning to tell her how awesome she is doing her thing walking around being beautiful. But she comes off as intimidating.

Her brown eyes and brown hair is dazzling. She is an intoxicating person. I can barely breath after I see her. She literally takes my breath away.

Whenever I am around her I can barely stand up. She makes my legs wobble. The end.

My inner thoughts of Kacey DiJulio.

Identify Your Life Meaning

Yesterday I started reading a book highly recommended to me by a friend, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” The first few pages drew me in and before I knew it two hours had past.

One of the major topics that I did not realize yet holds true to me is the paradigm change in our culture from Character Ethic to Personality Ethics. I focus my decisions around Character Ethics which involve values and principles instead of Personality Ethics that focus on attitude and behavior. However I see how a lot of people have shifted their views to how we act in a situation instead of what drives our decision making, to be reactive instead of proactive. I choose to be proactive.

When I was young my father would tell me “when it comes to fashion sway like the wind, when it comes to Morales stand like a rock.” At a young age I didn’t understand it but as I begin to actively learn and search deeper into meanings I see that in life people revolve themselves around those who have strong principles because it provides them with a focal point to build off of.

But instead of building off of other peoples principles I ask you to identify your own. Private victories trump public victories. There is no one life meaning for anyone. In order to find a meaning in life you must be willing to search deep inside and find what you want, the roles you play, goals to be set, and upon them to create your own personal mission statement. This will give you a meaning, a purpose. The reason you wake up and get out of bed every morning.

To be successful you must be willing to, at any moment, sacrifice what you are, for what you will become.

Daily Prompt: Blogger of Repute

Blogger of Repute

Do you have a reputation? What is it, and where did it come from? Is it accurate? What do you think about it?

I have a reputation in wrestling and being a leader. I placed in state for wrestling twice. 3rd place and 5th place for Washington state. People in the wrestling community know me for my agility and unique style to win matches, I have a signature move called the figure four which is difficult to perform. Due to my style I have respect in the wrestling community.

It is accurate since I have awards and will remember for my hard work. In wrestling what you put in is what you get out. This is the lifestyle I like since I cannot blame anyone for my success. I think I did a good job in my high school career of wrestling. I hope to achieve more and be an all american. If I am able to commit and make sacrifice in college.

I have a reputation as a leader since I was the ASB President of my high school, wrestling captain of my wrestling team, and founder of multiple tech companies. Check out my apps for mobile phones. Quotes on Quotes for Google Play and Android Store.

You: pronoun. 1) Used to refer to the person or people that the speaker is addressing. 2) Used to refer to any person in general.
