Are you comfortable in front of people, or does the idea of public speaking make you want to hide in the bathroom? Why?
I am comfortable in front of people.
During high school, I wrestled. Wrestling builds confidence, especially when wrestling one on one in front of 500 + people in the finals with the audience analyzing your every move and perfection of techniques.
In Washington State they have the biggest wrestling state tournament, hosted in the Tacoma Dome. Over a thousand roaring fans, 150 different schools, 14 weight classes, 5 divisions, and wrestlers all trying to leave their name in history.
During my high school wrestling career I made it in the finals over 90% of the time and won 80% of the time. The energy and excitement can’t be described with words alone.
So being in front of a crowd is not difficult for me, especially if I know what I am going to say or do. Practice makes perfect and I am a perfectionist.
