Daily Prompt: Bookworms

feel

Bookworms

Grab the nearest book. Open it and go to the tenth word. Do a Google Image Search of the word. Write about what the image brings to mind.

10th word: Feel.

To feel is to be aware of a person or object through touching or being touched. It can also be an experience, an emotion or sensation.

When I think about the word, feel, I think about the human’s 5 senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. The sense that I am focused on is touch.

The image above shows a woman’s hand holding sand and letting it filter through her fingers. This can have multiple meanings. Something straight forward and literal such as sand passing through.

Or it can have an abstract meaning to it like letting go of the past. The sand particles represent memories and the air’s breeze represents time. She holds on to the good ones and allows the bad ones to drift away.
